It’s always a difficult decision not to continue training one of our dogs. We invest a lot of time and effort into bringing a dog along with such high hopes of success. When a dog doesn’t “make the team,” however, we generally feel that it is in their best interests to find them a home that will be a better match for their talents so that they will get the time and attention that they deserve.
We currently have the following dogs available. Email us at kennel [at] raintreess.com for further details.
Raintree Name That Tune, “Tunie”
Female, liver/white, whelped June 25, 2009
FC AFC Salmy’s Whats His Name (AskEm) x Edwardiana Rhapsody of Beggarbush (Roz)

Tunie has lots of run and plenty of bird-drive, but her flush is not consistently aggressive enough to succeed as a trial competitor. She has her mother’s British reserve and needs a few minutes to decide to warm up to someone she doesn’t know, but she’s a very sweet girl.

Cedar Boughs Cobalt, “Racer”
Male, white/liver, whelped July 30, 2008
2x NAFC FC Beggarbush Clipper x AFC Rytex Rogers Girl of Beggarbush
Racer is a terrifically talented boy, but doesn’t have the “big run” that’s needed to succeed as a trial dog. Racer will be the perfect choice for someone looking for a close-hunting companion.

Hi,
I recently had to put down our beloved springer spaniel we got nearly 11 years ago from a rescue shelter. I always wondered what breed she was. She looked like one of your raintree english springer spaniels. She was taller than a regular springer. I never hunted with her, but in her prime she was fast. those rabbits around our place got the run of their lives. I miss having her around but the wife and I have busy lives. I hope Tunie finds a wonder home.
All the Best,
Steve Conto

Steve: thanks so much for stopping by and telling your Springer’s story. Sounds like you had a wonderful time together. Enjoy those memories until you’re able to fit a dog into your lives again.
