Brassy was purchased from Hadley & Mary Ford of New York on the strength of her
pedigree: she’s out of a Sassy/Coach daughter sired by a Lefty son. Brassy is Cathy’s second trial dog, and
has been a faithful and valuable teacher. Cathy & Brassy earned their respective first All-age placement at the Iowa trial in fall, 1998, just in time to earn a ticket for the 1998 Amateur National. Unfortunately Cathy had to fly home from Pittsburgh just before the trial started to whelp the Regent “D” litter, so Dean took over Brassy’s handling and the two finished the National with style.
All told, Brassy has finished two Canadian National trials and two National
Amateurs, the second in New York with a Certificate of Merit and the Spaniels in
the Field Gunner's Award. She completed her Master Hunter title March 30,
2003 (AKC verification pending). Brassy whelped a litter
by Tigger in July, 1998. Sabre finished the 2002 National Amateur handled by
his owner, Brian Sonier. Raintree Brass Tiger
