Sail-Swifty litter whelped 7/29/2011
We did this breeding to bring together the wonderful qualities from the breeding behind both parents. Sail was sired by NFC FC AFC Eagle Brae’s Good Sport out of Carra Carousel of Glendevitt, who was bred in Ireland and imported from England. Carra was a solid performer in the field, and went on to become queen of a Georgia plantation. Swifty was sired by 2X NAFC Beggarbush Clipper, who is one of the nicest Springers we have had the pleasure to meet as well as amazingly talented. Her dam is AFC Rytex Rogers Girl of Beggarbush, a/k/a Sally, who has had a successful trial career herself including multiple appearances in the final series of the National Amateur. This is the first litter for both Sail and Swifty, and we’re excited by the potential.
We didn’t expect the breeding to be quite so prolific, though Sail was one of a litter of twelve. Because Swifty was SO large, we planned to deliver by c-section on 7/31 to give the puppies the best chance. Swifty had her own plans, however, and delivered the first puppy in the car on the way to Veterinary Village in Lomira on 7/29, and the second as she was prepped for surgery. Fourteen more puppies were born by c-section. Sadly we lost one male on 8/1.
We were very fortunate to have Jim & Elaine of Rockhaven ESS (look them up if you’re on Facebook) offer to foster four of the puppies when their Princess Sophiette of Rockhaven had a litter of two several days after ours arrived. Sophie has been the best foster mom ever, and we are so grateful for her generosity, as well as her “parents”!
Stay tuned for “the rest of the story.”

Do you have any of the puppies left for sale?
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi David, thanks for stopping by
. I’ll respond to you privately.
Good Day,
I found your webiste while I was googling Field Springer Spaniel pups. I have had a Springer since I was a kid, about 30 years now. My current Springer is 11 years old and soon I will be looking for a great dog that loves to bird hunt. Do you have a waiting list or a mailing list for pups? I never cared if the pup was liver or black, but I always wanted one that was white.
Regards,
Clint

Happy New Year!
