Sassy was Dean’s first homebred field champion. During her illustrious career she earned four Nationals placements, and taught Dean much about the sport. She was high point Amateur dog in 1991, with 54 all-age points.

Sass retired gracefully from both competition and the whelping box to be the house dog, and
kept Cathy company in her office each day until her sudden and untimely death in
August, 2000. She set the standard for the Raintree kennel. We miss her
terribly.
